ROAD TO SOUTH AFRICA Part 5

In order to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the US would have to win in Honduras, one of the hardest road environments in the Western hemisphere. With their nation’s government in a state of crisis, the Honduran people desperately needed their soccer team to win in order to qualify for their first World Cup in 28 years. Something would have to give in this epic showdown which was NOT broadcast in the United States. One Goal brings you the Game That Nobody Saw, except for the passionate few who made the trip down to San Pedro Sula to watch the United States make history.

Honduran fans dont live next to a country that makes fun of them thats why.
If Honduras was next to the US the same problem would happen

I’m American and I love how Honduran fans treated our fans positively when we were at San Pedro Sula. I wish Mexican fans could do that with US fans. But by the looks of things in the present world, it’s not gonna happen anytime soon.

I have always had huge respect for Honduran fans, and this video confirmed it. I have zero respect for Mexican fans, based on my experience they are the worst. Actions and video evidence never lies.

I’m a American, Salvadorian, Mexican and its a pity to see my fellow Mexicans act the way they did, as for my Salvadorians well lets just say that we are somewhat the same but we tend to understand that USA is a team far more superior than El Salvador.

The last thing I have to say is that you guys got Some Big F****** COJONES LMFAO to be going in the stadium rooting for USA in Central America not even I do that in El Salvador, lol I would be the nest day Headlines.

    Much Respect&Thank you

  15. titoarevalo says:

Not to speak bad about the Honduran fans but reason why the people weren’t nasty as the people in Mexico is because they played in San Pedro Sula which is a better environment and people are more down to Earth unlike the Mexicans, but if they would of gone to the Capital Tegucigalpa they would of not even had made it to the parking entrance with out being kick, punched, or throw something at them.

SWEET!! Having experienced a bad moment in RFK Stadium in a USA-Honduras WCQ in 2001…beer thrown on me…I find it ironic how sporting & classy the fans in Honduras were. Don’t expect the Mexicans would be as sporting or classy, lol

  18. begley9 says:

@cesarjanet Well I realize it’s just a small part of the fan base. It just annoys me that it’s not exactly safe to go to a USA vs Mexico game in the U.S. It’s just all annoying.

  19. jaxhawk06 says:

@tackle32jimbwn Just because they haven’t won a FIFA tournament doesn’t mean they will never win one. Using that logic means that since Spain has never won a FIFA event means that they will never win the World Cup

You realize ‘reputable’ and ‘atmosphere’ are two completely different things right?

  20. cesarjanet says:

@begley9 Well nothing i can say can change your opinion overall, but thats how Mexican fans act in the stadiums. No need to hate on the country nor the players because of our actions. Are we the fans really a trash to the sport? NO because most of us do what fans need to do and that is cheer on the team and not the other team. Still throwing shit is pretty fck up, but not all of us are like that.

  21. NoRegretsForOurYouth says:

That wasn’t Michael Bradley on that Handball

  22. tackle32jimbwn says:

@jaxhawk06 When was the last time that you saw the US win any FIFA event Ooo wait NEVER. Also I don’t think that the Honduran Stadium is even close to as reputable as “The Theater of Dreams” I mean come on be educated bout your footy.

  23. jaxhawk06 says:

@tackle32jimbwn Haha, this made me laugh

  24. tackle32jimbwn says:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME. If you think that that is an atmosphere for a game try Stamford Bridge, try Anfield, try Old Trafford, San Siro your choice of any European team. The US will not win the WC let alone proly even reach the semis.
